SlowCOVIDNC PIN Portal

Welcome to the SlowCOVIDNC PIN Portal!

The SlowCOVIDNC PIN portal allows individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 to obtain the PIN number assigned to them by the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). NCDHHS assigns a PIN number to everyone who receives a positive COVID-19 test result, even if a person never uses the SlowCOVIDNC app. Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and retrieved their PIN can choose to enter their PIN into the SlowCOVIDNC app. This will allow the app to anonymously notify people you have been in contact with that they may have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19. The SlowCOVIDNC app only collects your PIN and does not collect or share any personally identifying information about you.

Users can also obtain a PIN by contacting the Community Care of North Carolina call center at 844-628-7223 and pressing option 9, or by contacting your Local Health Department.

PINs ensure that only valid positive COVID-19 tests are reported in the SlowCOVIDNC app. The app uses PINs instead of your personal information, which helps protect your privacy and identity.

Voluntarily entering your PIN into the SlowCOVIDNC app and anonymously reporting your positive test result allows the app to notify others who have downloaded the app and been in close contact with you that they may have been exposed to someone in the last 14 days who has tested positive for COVID-19.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

SlowCOVIDNC PIN Portal is not intended for children under the age of 13, and NCDHHS does not knowingly allow a child under 13 to use the Portal. If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you can only use SlowCOVIDNC PIN Portal if your parent or legal guardian has reviewed this information and agreed to your use of the Portal. If we learn that we have collected any information through the SlowCOVIDNC PIN Portal of a person between the ages of 13 and 17 whose legal guardian has not reviewed and agreed to the use of Portal, or any child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to remove that information from the Portal as quickly as possible.

Please enter the same information used when registering for your COVID-19 test.
